more on the gear; offer up industry safety knowledge that will help keep you the warmest
yet also allow you to do the job needed.

Besides loosing 45% of your body heat through your head, you will also loose another 20% through your hands and fingers… that’s 60-65% of your body heat. (Centra) YIKES! You don’t want to be like the worker in the picture, be prepared and keep your hands warm with insulated work gloves. There are so many options you have to choose from depending on the work you’re doing. If you work outside you’re going to need to cover your hands; whether you’re in construction work, agriculture, general contracting or an environmentalist. A glove that you can keep on while working is essential winter gear for outdoor workers. Of course we have many to choose from, I have picked out three gloves I’d like to highlight and share with you in more detail.

3. Jackets
Although you loose most of your body heat through your head and hands you still need to protect your bodies core with a proper jacket. 5. Footwear
Last, but to clarify definitely not least, in the top 5 winter gear for outdoor workers is footwear. When your body is cold blood vessels in the extremities, such as the hands and feet, will constrict. This reduces your blood flow to these areas, as a result causing your feet to continue to be cold. I don’t know about you but in my experience, when my feet get cold my whole body is cold and it’s hard to warm back up; especially if you’re outside for an extended period of time.
